This touching story began in 2016 when Tom Keating-a 80-year-old man-became resident at the Moss View nursing Home in Huyton, Liverpool, England. The octogenarian needed specific care and support.
One year later, her mother Ada — a 98-year-old woman — decided to move into the same house to look after her eldest son. For Tom Keating who had never married and had always lived with Ada, it was a very pleasant surprise.
Both mother and son, from Wavertree, are inseparable and enjoy spending time together playing or watching Emmerdale, their favorite soap opera.

“I say goodnight to Tom in his room every night and I’ll go and say good morning to him. When I go to the hairdresser, he waits for my return and when I come back, he approaches with his arms outstretched, and give me a big hug. “— said Ada. “You never stop being a mother!”
Ada’s granddaughter, Debi Higham, and other family members are regular visitors to this nursing home. They are very happy that Ada and Tom can be together again.
This is a beautiful example of a dedicated mother who doesn’t abandon her children no matter what. A thousand times bravo to you, Ada!
